Jason joined Toolik GIS in March 2007. His background includes GIS & Remote Sensing for various applications including geomorphic change analysis, and real-time mapping of forest fires. He also has extensive experience collecting field data using various methods such as surveying, GPS, and standard field method procedures. Current duties include assisting the Toolik research community with GPS and GIS needs, updating the spatial database to keep track of new research plots, as well as carrying out requests by researchers for specialized needs. |Randy Fulweber (GIS Analyst)
Randy joined Toolik GIS in November 2008. His recent research background includes using GIS analysis to develop and evaluate species habitat models. He has experience designing and conducting statistically-rigorous field sampling protocols, and working with Alaskan agencies and Native communities to meet natural resource management objectives. Current duties include assisting the Toolik research community with GPS field support, data analysis, publication-quality map production, as well as updating and maintaining the Toolik Field Station geodatabase.
